Presence/ Motion Detector for HD1010

hey there, here is my plan: 1x HD1010(master) synchronised with 3 x HD210 (slave) playing a 4screen presentation. so far so good. now the difficult part: i need the presentation to play when somebody enters the room (about 8 x 6 ft), play as long as there are people in the room (no retrigger when another person enters the room while playing) and stop when the last person leaves. when someone is still in the room when the presentation ends, it should restart. while searching for a presence detector i stumbled upon a motion sensor (md-755 http://www.marchettieng.com/pdf/md755-rev2.pdf) by marchetti engineering http://www.marchettieng.com/visual_messaging.html, especially designed to work with bright sign devices via gpio. i´m asking myself now, if i could realize the above mentioned with this device, or what other device could handle the task and how to manage the trigger/ stop function 1 any help appreciated! thanks in advance cd302

So, one question is how does the motion sensor tell you that there's no one else in the room? IF the motion sensor stays tripped until someone leaves and then releases, then we can still do this with brightauthor. Do you want a hard stop when the last person leaves? Or do you want it to play until the end and not restart?

    hey,

    thanks for you reply.

your first point is exactly what i am most concerned about how to deal with it.

say, that there´s an event (comparable with a button push), when the sensor triggers the first time, i need the sensor to do the same, when all people leave the room. the perfect solution would be that, when the last person has left, the presentation runs for another say 10 seconds and then returns to the home screen.

the documentation of the mentioned sensor md-755 says, that when someone enters the detection zone, there is this one event that starts the presentation, but then a specified hold time starts to run down, where the sensor is disarmed. if there is further movement in the detection zone time will be added to the hold time, if not, the holdtime continues to run down. when the holdtime is expired, the sensor gets rearmed.

so my thought was, if it is somehow possible to tell the bright sign unit to stop presentation and return to homescreen when the sensor gets rearmed.

i don´t know if this is possible at all.

hope u get what i mean and maybe you have a clue how to handle the task.

aside from that, maybe you can tell me, how

IF the motion sensor stays tripped until someone leaves and then releases, then we can still do this with brightauthor

could be realized in brightauthor ?

    thanks a lot

If the rearming is seen as a button release, then yes, it's possible to have the brightsign receive a trigger on the rearm.

    okay.

so, how do i realize to stop a presentation on button release once it started by a button push in bright author ?
