HD 110 wont run presentations

I'm an accountant first and foremost. So please be patient! I have an HD110. Want to run a very basic presentation. I get the Bright Sign screen on my monitor. But when I load the presentation, it just sits there. I've downloaded the basic demo, and it doesn't run either. Just sits. Anything I'm missing here? Isn't it just supposed to start? Please help. I'm ready to throw this thing out the window. I'm not stupid and it can't be this hard!

    Are you powering off the unit, inserting the card, then powering it up? The unit doesn't autodetect the insertion of a flash card. So, if you don't restart it, nothing will happen.

    If you are restarting it, but still only seeing the logo, it could be a problem with the sd card, the sd card slot, or if when you unzip the downloaded and copy it to the flash card, if you're putting the files in a sub folder, they won't run. THe demo has to be copied to the root of the flash card.

    You can also just copy some images directly to a flash card,  then power up the unit with the flash card.

    Okay, when I start it up with the SD card out, I get the Bright Signs Logo. When I start it up with it in, I get a no signal error.  
    The SD Card is a brand new Kodak High-Speed SD HC.  Works fine on all the computers and with cameras.
    The presentation is in the root directory.  
    Any other suggestions?  If it is the reader slot, how will I know?

    Now it gets even better.  I updated to the 3.5.68 (or whatever the download is from the site), and now when I try to run, I get flashing red and yellow lights.  In the error and upd lights.  flashes 6 times, stops and starts over again.  Does this help?

    Never mind, I beat it into submission.  It works!
