Enhancing Elo touchscreen interface

Does RokuLabs have any plans to enhance the BrightSign touchscreen object for greater kiosk utility? Specifically, it would be very useful to have defined events for button/region releases as well as presses, and for tracking pressure strokes across the touchscreen. It would also be very useful to be able to easily change the image displayed for regions in response to these events (e.g. "lighting" a button/region when pressed, "unlighting" it when released, rolling through a changing bar graph or image gradient while a button/region is held down, etc.)
Thanks in advance for your responses.

    Don,

Can you elaborate on what you mean by tracking pressure strokes?

On the topic of lighting and unlighting a button or region, this is currently possible using the rollover functionality that allows you to use an on and an off image for a region depending on whether the region is active or not.

By "rolling through a changing bar graph or image gradient", do you mean you want some indicator to show a button is being held down?

By tracking pressure strokes, I mean something akin to 'moving' a virtual slider by pressing at x1,y1 and moving one's finger to x2,y2 before lifting the finger.

For the above example, feedback would consist of being able to smoothly update the image of the slider region to show the finger's progress.

In using the rollover feature for button press feedback, are you referring to replacing one off image with another off image by re-initializing the region when pressed?  How would the release be sensed to restore the first image? How would the rollover feature be used without modification when a mouse is not involved?  Wouldn't the on image remain active after the press is released?

    Thank you.
