IR Remote Control of HD 2000
We manage a visitor center showing an approximately 30 minute video on a 65 inch Panasonic high definition plasma display (model TH-65PF11UK) from 0730 until 1600 daily. At random times on random days one of my colleagues needs to pause the video, make an announcement about an upcoming program, then later stop the video in order to present a program, usually in MS Powerpoint, using a laptop pc connected to the same monitor mentioned above. Following the presentation he/she needs to start the video again, continuously running until another program, or 1600.
Given the fact that park rangers and technology don't mix well (i.e., most of us are technically challenged), can we just purchase and use the remote control from your store (<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://store.brightsign.biz/Store-W1.aspx">http://store.brightsign.biz/Store-W1.aspx</a><!-- m -->) to achieve this functionality? Or, do we have to create a script using the BrightSign scripting language to accomplish these tasks <!-- s:cry: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cry.gif" alt=":cry:" title="Crying or Very sad" /><!-- s:cry: --> ?
