Sending BYTES with serial output (HD1010)

For an external controlled player I need to send three bytes over the serial port. I want to use the interactive playlist and I know the command filename.[EXT]:serialSend<string> - but I think this does not help me in this case because I have to send BYTES - not a text. The bytes I am talking is only 1, 1 and 255. But how do I manage this? Did somebody ever send BYTES over the serial port with a ROKU machine?

I am very grateful for any answer.

    Niki,



    You can send bytes, the unit has the ability. There's a sendbyte command but it's not part of interactive playlist support. I need to make a change to the autorun to support sending just bytes.
