AddEvents fire all at once

I have a .brs script which AddEvents a number of events at various times in a video where I need to do some auxiliary actions.

On numerous test MPEG-2 video files the events fire at the expected times, but for one particular benchmark file
(<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.archive.org/download/folgers_10/folgers_10.mpeg">http://www.archive.org/download/folgers ... rs_10.mpeg</a><!-- m -->)
the events all fire at once whenever the top of the file plays.

I am guessing that there is some timecoding in the file that the Brightsign (1010, tested under both 3.1.46, 3.1.71 firmware) requires to properly fire AddEvent events, but before I go and ask a post house to try to correct it, could you perhaps tell me what I should be asking them to do?

Thank you.

    The person I would need to look at the file is out for the week. I believe you are correct about a timecode problem. But, I don't know enough to tell you what the cause of the problem might be. There are some free utilities that can fix time codes. Mpeg STreamclip is one, and if you can download a 30 day trial of mpeg2vcr, from womble, and if you open an mpeg and then save it, without changing any settings, it will fix timecode issues as well.

    Can you send me the script you were using, at <!-- e --><a href="mailto:support@brightsign.biz">support@brightsign.biz</a><!-- e -->?
