BrightAuthor Zone Creation

Hi,

I am trying to create a new zone using BrightAuthor. When I click the + Add Zone button, I am presented with a popup to Name the zone and select what Type of zone it is. I am only able to select either Images or Ticker. Why are the other options disabled? I am trying to create a clock zone.

  You can only add one video zone. This applies to all units so if you have a video zone or a background image zone, which uses the video layer, then you can't add the video zone again.
  
  
  
  The clock can only be used on units with a realtime clock or that are able to set their clocks over the network. If you have an HD110 or HD410, then it doesn't have a real time clock, and doesn't have an ethernet port.
  
  
  
  If you were to delete the video zone, you would be able to add video, a background image, image, or text zones.
  
  
  
  If you selected the HD110 or HD410 as the unit you were creating a project for, then you have have some options missing.  If you do have a unit with a realtime clock or with ethernet, create a new project, and select the correct model.

  The model of my BrightSign as well as the release number of BrightAuthor are in my signature.  The only solution I found was to edit the actual XML file manually to add the "Clock" zone.  That option, as well as Video or Images and Background Image are disabled.
  
  
  
  In my project, I am using 2 Tickers, 2 Images, and 1 Video or Images.  So, I don't see why I can't add the Clock through BrightAuthor.  Again, I am only able to add it by manually editing the XML file read by BrightAuthor.

  Can you do a file save as, and send me your xml project file. You should be able to add a clock. You're the first person to have mentioned this particular problem.
  
  
  
  This occurs if you create a brand new project? You can add multiple clocks so there should be no reason for the clock to be disabled unless you selected 110 or 410 as the model you were creating a project for.

  I'm using an HD1010 w/BrightAuthor 1.0.2.13 with Scheduling.
  
  
  
  My client wants
  
    full screen video at 3pm
  
    video in a corner zone at 4pm
  
  I think I need 2 video zones, but not at the same time.
  
  BA will not let me use video in the second Video or Images zone.
  
  
  
  Can you suggest a way to change the position of a video zone with scheduler.

  You can't do it with the Brightauthor version you have but will be able to with the next beta release, which is a couple weeks away.
  
  
  
  the new release lets you schedule projects, not playlists. So, you can have fullscreen at noon, 3 zones at 12:30, 2 zones at 2PM, etc.
