General HD 1010 Questions

Hi Brightsign Folks,

I have been trying to contact you via email and voicemail for a week... now i am trying this forum, sorry if this is not the proper outlet for these questions.

In regard to the HD 1010 unit.

- Will the Live Video Module be updated to handle an HD feed in the near future?

- How does the Live Video Module interface with the Hd 1010 and the scheduling/zones layout? Like can this feed be sized to fit into a zone on screen?

- Can the unit also play video back while displaying live video?

- Will a unit controlled via Network Manager also be able to be updated locally via Bright Author?

- Is there a way to set up different classes of users, such as administrator and user within a network of Brightsign Units?

- Is there a demo program for your products? We are evaluating many options for a large signage rollout planned for Q2 2010 and are considering your product.

Thank you for your time,

Dan

The current live video is SD only. A new hardware input device would be required for HD. We are investigating an HD solution, but I don't have any hard details.

You can add live video to a video zone. That zone can be any size, and the live video can be scaled to fit or fill the zone.

No, you can't play live video, and another video. Only one video zone on the screen at a time.

Yes, you could update a unit locally that was controlled by Brightsign Network Manager. But, there's a possibility you would need to setup that unit again to get it connect with Network Manager.

There aren't currently different user classes. This is a requested feature, but there's no timeframe currently for implementation.

Please contact me at support@brightsign.biz, and I'll get you in touch with someone in sales. They can help you get an eval unit.
