Power-up time

Hello,

We are using a HD810.
It takes about 70 seconds until the device is ready for use. Is this correct and is it possible to make it shorter?

Thanks,

Robin

    70 seconds seems long.

How are you playing back content on the unit? If you aren't using a playlist that sets the video mode, some of that time would be the unit querying the display to find out what resolution to use.

It won't save a lot of time, bu tit should shorten the load time.

I'm using an interactive playlist which is created with BrightAuthor. I've set the resolution to 1024x768. I also tried it with 800 x 600 but it still takes 70 seconds to show the picture.

When we use a SD card with just pictures on it, it also takes 70 seconds to show the first picture.

What is the normal power-up time of the device?

We want to use the HD810 for some sort of kiosk which needs to be turned into a powersaving mode, so we want reduce the power-up time to 10 seconds. Is this possible?

The brightsign won't powerup in 10 seconds. The best I've seen was abour 35 - 45 seconds. I haven't timed in with the latest firmware. There won't be any significant gains in time.

50 seconds minimum from power up to running a video TS file and using a custom script.

The HD810 only consumes 4 watts (830ma ay 5V) which is negligible compared to the monitor.

Use the power mode to turn the monitor off.

    mode.SetPowerSaveMode(true)

    mode.SetPowerSaveMode(false)
