HDMI resolution changing to 1360x768, plus video speeding up

Im using the HD110 to show a 30 frame looping ts file I've got a film looping fine and displaying properly at 1920 x 1080 with an HDMI connection on a computer monitor When I connect the HD110 to a 7 series Samsung flatscreen TV the resolution changes to 1360x768 @60Hz and the film speeds up significantly There are no settings I can find on the Samsung to change the resolution - any ideas anyone?

    An update to the above post

    I downloaded the 1080i comix tours demo from here:
    <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.brightsign.biz/support/demos/index.php#">http://www.brightsign.biz/support/demos/index.php#</a><!-- m -->

    that played at 1080i on my Samsung TV, once I had played that and then changed the SD card over to the video.ts file i'd made it played fine at 1080i.

    I think the problem stemmed from the fact that i'd first plugged in the brightsign with a VGA cable that made the TV think that the particular file i was put on should be at a lower res - then putting on a different file made it switch.

    Is there a bit of code you can put on the card that tells an "intelligent" TV what res it should be.

    If all you have on the card is a video, then the brightsign is going to be in automode at startup, and will try to determine the best resolution to use. If you want to use a specific resolution, then you should create a simple playlist using brightauthor, and pick the resolution you want to use.

    If your file is playing fast, then it's most likely an mpeg elementary stream which isn't supported. They play fast when the refresh rate is faster then the frame rate of the video. So, if your video was 30fps, but the output was 75p, then it would play fast.
