Display Excel Spreadsheet via Brightsign?

IHAC (manufacturing customer) who wants to replace traditional whiteboards throughout their multiple buildings with Brightsign network controllers and TV monitors, to display a portion of Excel spreadsheet from a computer running XP in the front office (over ethernet). As the Excel spreadsheet is updated on the XP computer in front office, they want the changes displayed on one or more displays (selectable) Is this an appropriate use of the Brightsign hardware and software? thanks, brian

We can't display an excel sheet natively, but if the data were in an xml file or csv, you could write a scipt to download and display that information on the screen. How much information is being displayed?

    Lyndon,

Thanks for the reply... the example spreadsheet (printout) that the customer provided me is 15 columns wide (more that can be shown on a computer monitor at one time).

Is there an example script available that shows how to send data (XML or CSV format) from an Excel spreadsheet each time a user makes changes and saves (or just periodically - autosave) sending the new data to Brightsign for display...?

or a better way to implement?

I would like to revive this topic to see if anyone has come up with anything for this? I'm a looking for some sample code. If I happen across any I will try and post it here.
