Problems with image slides

Dear Roku Friends, I have a test presentation that's composed of 2 zones. a VideoOrImages zone that fills all the screen and then an Image zone that's on top of the first zone and occupies a small square in the top right corner, in order to display the company image. On the first big zone i have 3 images with a 3 second delay before it changes to the next one. No problem here, the problem comes with the second zone, as the image on top of the first zone flickers every time the image on the first zone changes. The problem is even worse if i set a "Fade to new image". Here is the playlist http://netip.gnuine.com/media/players/2 ... tent27.xml All the necessary media as well as the current-sync.xml are on the same folder. Thanks a lot for your time, Albert

We don't support layering image zones. This is the problem you're seeing.

One thing you could do is make your main zone a video only zone, and then convert those images to videos. I'm attaching a link to a batch file that uses ffmpeg to convert jpegs to 1 second videos. You could then put a image zone over the video only zone and you wouldn't see any flicker.

Hi Lyndon, thanks for your kind reply!

We've been quite busy and i hadn't had time to check your answer. The thing that you're saying is to have a Video only zone and an Image zone on top, is this correct? The thing with that would be that the converted-to-video images wouldn't have the fade in fade out transition

Any change to add the image layering capability? I guess that if you can put an image on top of a video, putting an image on top of an image has to be quite the same thing!

Any news on the new firmware and new features?

    Thanks!!
