Configure SoundBridge Remote for HD1010

I recently purchased the HD1010 for an exhibit I am helping create (it is paired with an elo touchmonitor) and everything is going well with the configuration except I can' t quite figure out how to set up the SoundBridge Remote purchased as an accessory. I've done a number of searches in this forum, but it hasn't turned up anything useful. I'm hoping to set up volume control and possible a video pause and powering the unit down through the remote. Also, while I'm asking questions, I just set up an autoschedule.txt to turn PowerSaveMode on and off. I was hoping this could automatically turn the unit off at night and on again in the morning. But while it seems to trigger something (the photos or video turn off and the screen goes blank) the monitor doesn't seem to actually go to sleep (as if losing a signal). I assume that is because I've got the VGA and USB connecting the HD1010 and the elo touch, so it never completely loses a signal. Is there any way around that? Thanks for your help.

    Just saw this post about a control script: <!-- l --><a class="postlink-local" href="http://forums.roku.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=30679">viewtopic.php?f=19&t=30679</a><!-- l -->

    This is the kind of thing I'd like to integrate with the SoundBridge Remote, but I'm just not quite sure how to connect the dots...

    I'll just keep adding to my post as I figure things out.  Didn't read the fine print when adding the remote as an accessory, so now I need to get the IguanaWorks USB IR.  I'm still left with a few lingering questions:
    1) will I be able to support the elo touchscreen and remote receiver through the single USB port through a splitter?
    2) what scripts will I need to add to my SDHC card to get the remote to work with the HD1010 (again, my main goals are to control the video playback, volume, and power)?
    3) how can I get the elo monitor to go to sleep (I've scheduled powersavemode, but it just goes to a blank glowing screen when that happens, I assume because of the USB connection despite the VGA turning off)?

    WHen do you need to have this done?

    It will require some custom scripting to support volume control from the remote during playback. What specific controls do you want to use? The brightsign sees the remote as just any other input device. It's not pre programmed with specific remote functions. So, it has to be told what to do when a specific button is pressed.

    You can use both usb remote and usb touchscreen. You'll need a powered usb hub.

    On your powersave test, if you remove the usb cable, does the power save mode actually work? That would confirm if it's really the USB input keeping it awake.
