Changing categories on touch menu

We're doing a project with touchscreen jukebox feature. The screens are looping video with transparrent buttons laid over the top and have 8 touch activated categories of music across the top and 20 touch activated songs on the bottom. The category buttons at the top need to trigger a new page (the corresponding genre and song list) also a looping video. Is it possible to set this up with BrightAuthor?

  Are you planning to use two separate zones for the menu, or will the buttons be part of the video?

  All buttons will be in one zone. The video is basically the album art and categories as static images over an animated background

  Would this be better achieved by creating multiple zones? 1 zone for the categories and a 2nd zone for the song list.

  No, one zone works well and is easier. You can create a touchable menu verify easily with brightauthor.

  As each category page has to have a new set of songs that will be triggered by touch, I'm unsure of how to go about setting up the category part of the page.

  Each menu would be a different video. Touch one are of the screen would load the next menu until you to to the part where the songs start.

  I've already set up the first two pages, the current songs page and rock songs page, the button layout is the same template for all pages. There are eight looping video images, one for each category and it's corresponding songs. The video that contains the song selections and categories uses the same template for each page. The only things that change are the header at the top of the page, indicating the category, and the songs that relate to that category.
  My problem is, how would I change categories, thus bringing up a new page of video and it's song list, and still be using the same button template to trigger the new set of songs?  
  I don't know how much of a difference it makes, but we are sending out serial string commands for each selection to trigger multiple devices.
