Live Video HD1010

I just purchased the live video module to go with my HD1010. I modified a working presentation removing all video and images from the video/image zone and replaced it with Live Video. I changed the video input to be composite. I am using a DVD player to provide input. The Live video device power led is green. The other zones on my display are working, but the live video zone is just black and no audio. I have verified output from the DVD on a monitor. Not sure where to go from here to troubleshoot the live video module.

What firmware is on your brightsign.

I would double-check that all the cables, video, usb and connected securely. I would test a different source if you have one, and also test over svideo. If the light is green, it means the driver for the input device loaded.

We can also try using beta firmware.

Just wanted to post that I got this working, both with s-video and composite video.  I think I had changed the video input in the preferences/video tab under bright author but NOT in the actual video zone properties.  Once I did that and saved and upload my project to the the BrightSign network, I still needed to power off and back on the HD1010.  Then it seemed to show the live video and audio fine.

For others that might read this looking for ideas, we also tested using a VERY small video/image zone.  Our church currently does not have video of our services but we do have the audio.  Since we already had in place distribution to our brightsign monitors we can include the audio of our services while the monitors are displaying announcements.  When we get video in our next phase we will expand the video zone so you can see the video.  There is the documented 3-4 second delay, but we can live with that.
