BrightAuthor & Signchannel

I have created a screen layout in BrightAuthor with several zones for a 210. One zone has a static masthead graphic, I also have the clock and calendar in their own zones. I have a static side panel graphic and finally I have a zone with the Signchannel widget. The whole configuration is loaded from a simple networking HTTP server folder and basically it kind of works. The problem I am having is that the Signchannel widget does not update after the first initialization. After a few days of the sign running, if I check with Signchannel it reports that the sign was last updated xx days ago. How do I get the Signchannel widget to refresh? I also created a 720p H.264 video to play in the region via Signchannel. But the 5 second clip never seems to load. Does the Signchannel widget support video?

    Signchannel doesn't support video yet, but that support is in testing currently.

    can you download and test one of our videos in your project, so we can make sure it's not a content issue.

    Finally, which version of brightauthor are you using? If it's not the latest, 2.0.0.42, please download and install, then retest.

    Video is not my top priority yet.  I can wait on supporting that.  But if you have some sample video to test with.. Where do I find it?

    My main issue is Signchannel widget not refreshing it's content after it's started.  I am running version 2.0.0.42 of Brightauthor.  Any suggestions?  I am doing a test now by adding a second Signchannel widget to the playlist hoping that that might force an update.

    I'll setup a test.

    I did a test yesterday using an mrss feed from framechannel, and I believe similar code is used fro both. I didn't have any udpate issues yesterday.  At the moment, I can't think of what would cause you problems.

    I, too, have an issue with Signchannel content not updating. This is months after the original post. Was a solution found?
