Simplest Network Updating

Hi, We have a project where we need to remotely update some content with a BrightSign player that is displaying some still images in a loop. This normally works fine with simple networking but this specific project has two additional difficulties. - Our costumer wants to manage the content himself and is only having Mac OS X computers to do so. - The technical knowledge of the person who is replacing the files are limited. My question is: Could we set up the BrightSign in Networking mode to monitor a folder on the server and will download and loop all the image files in that folder? The person replacing the files would then just copy the files to the correct location without using BrightAuthor. Is there a way this might work? Thanks

The brightsign can't tell what's new in the folder. This is more a limitation of http than anything else. Is the number of files and names of files something that changes?

Let's say there were 20 files in a playlist, and the customer updated only those 20, always replacing them with names that fit into that group of 20 names, we could have the brightsign automatically grab the latest set of 20 files on a regular basis. I've done this already for several customers.

Another solution that has been used, is to setup a web page that customers can use to upload files to the web server. THis web page generates a new sync file for the brightsign to download. The sync file contains the list of files for the brightsign to download, along with the hash key used to verify the files are downloaded successfully. It requires more programming, but it's another way to go.
