random black pixels on white scenes

I just received a video from a client that is a 1920X1080 .mp4 file. I am using Bright Author 2.0.0.44 and I am creating a looping playback of the file and testing playback on my HD1010 in my office. I renamed the .mp4 file to .ts so BrightAuthor could see the media. I also went ahead and updated my test HD1010 in my office to firmware 3.5.42. I originally set the project for HDMI output @ 1920X1080, 29.97p and published the project to a Kingston 4GB SDHC class 6 card. When the file is played back in the HD1010 under the above settings, I notice the audio/video is out of sync (the audio lags the video) and I see random black pixels on white scenes/areas of the video during video movement/action. I then changed the output settings to 1920X1080, 60p and the audio/video is now in sync. However, I still notice random black pixels on white scenes. An expample I can give you is an actor's white shirt and a white lab coat. Do you have any hints on what might be causing this? I noticed couple of recent posts talking about Bright Author 2.2. Should I be using this version of BrightAuthor with firmware 3.5.42?

1080p @ 29.97 is the best 1080p output on the brightsign.

Do you know the framerate of the video that you're playing? Also, what's the bitrate of the video? The brightauthor version isn't going to affect playback quality.

Only CBR aac audio is supported in h.264 files. And, the brightsign only supports up to level 4.1.

Hi I am wondering if you might share your version of BrightAuthor. I have some older units and cannot find the correct version to create presentation for them. Thank you
