What is the difference for setting preferences in the BA Menu pull down Edit/Preferences vs the Zone Properties such as a ticker feed? is one global and the other per zone? Why two places? thanks bill

Yes, edit preferences are global settings, defaults. And, then settings for specific zones apply to just that project. Also settings under file presentation properties for for local settings.
WE have a feature request in to combine them.
