Updating firmware through simple file networking

Hi, I ran several tests and not succeeded.. I´m using BA 2.2.0.39 and simple file networking. Seems that the unit can´t find the update.rok. I tried using specific file and using firmware release. L=d T=2011/10/26 13:10:36.957 I=1001 D=YES L=d T=2011/10/26 13:10:37.265 I=1002 D= L=d T=2011/10/26 13:10:37.395 I=1016 D=update.rok 0 L=d T=2011/10/26 13:10:37.888 I=1010 D=update.rok The requested URL returned error: 404 L=d T=2011/10/26 13:10:37.925 I=1011 D=At least one file could not be satisfied We have 175 units located in very wide area, so any help is more than welcome! thanks, J

The problem seems to be that the update.rok file isn't getting copied into the pool folder. If you look in the current-sync.xml file you'll see the long name for the update.rok file, the hash key with no extension. If you rename update.rok to that, and copy it to the pool folder, the firmware will download.

    Hi,
You mean pool folder in our web server?
We tried that, but it won't work. Actually we cant even do normal playlist updates anymore after trying to update firmware with tricks mentioned.
    Units log says the same.

Is this a common problem or ours only? Difficult to believe that..

    Anyway thanks in advance,

IF you publish a new project, without a firmware update, does the update get back to working. The specific issue I've seen is that firmware udpates using simple networking appear to be broken in brightauthor 2.2. I had been able to work around it using the steps I mentioned.

When you added the file to the pool folder on the webserver, you still saw the same error message?
