BrightAuthor 2.3.0.57 HD1010 How can I play a full screen video then play a full screen RSS feed, then switch back to the video, alternating throughout the day? Where can I find information on how to use features such as 'Media End' and 'Video List' , as well as the other features in BrightAuthor? Also, please n+1 your tally for people who wish there was a preview feature in BrightAuthor.

  The 2.3 user guide is getting updated, but I thought I had posted a faq on media lists, maybe not.
  
  Currently, you can't toggle which zones are fully screen, and which are not, and the rss feed's don't listen to triggers.
  
  This is something that could be done with some customization of the autorun script that is published by brightauthor. So, you would create a full text zone and video zone. And, then maybe at the end of the video we could assume that we want to show the rss zone, but hide it at other times. Also, you could use a blank video for the time when the rss feed was playing.
  
  Can you email me some more details about this  at the support email address, support at brightsign.biz, and let me know what kind of project this is for. I'll see if this is an easy change to make.
  
  
  On the topic of video lists.
  A video list is treated like any other file. You can time out to it or use a trigger to jump to that video list state like you can any other file. THe difference is the video list is a bucket, and each time you go to it, one file from that bucket of files will play. It can play in order or shuffled. SO, each each time you go to the video list one random file would play from the list.
  
  So, instead of button 1 plays video 1, button would would play a choice of video files 1 - 10. Or, instead of at the end of this video, go to video 2. The end of a video can take you to 1 video out of a possible 10 or more.

  We are not using an external triggers. What guidance can you provide in customizing the autorun script? Is there documentation describing the features and how to code for them? I am unable to drag a video list into the playlist, even when the playlist is empty. Does the video list require an external trigger to function? If the video list is similiar to a bucket, where in BrightAuthor do you drop items inthe bucket?

  The video list only works with a playlist in interactive mode. So, you can only drag it into an interactive playlist.  You don't actually have to listen for input when you create an interactive playlist. You just build the playlist in a more explicit manager where you designate what event takes you from one file to another. If it's just a looping playlist, then it's normally a timeout or media end that takes you from one file to another.
