Hi,

Can anyone help. I'm wanting to roll out some retail POS units where a 32"-40" LCD TV will show split screen content, the left hand half of the screen will be standard definition, the right hand half of the screen high definition.

I know this can be achieved by running two feeds, one SD box and one HD box into a TV that both accepts two feeds and utilise its split screen mode and sync them, however, during the play of the content, I'd like the whole screen to show one features/benefits page, then after, revert back to split screen etc.

Not very technical, so any help would be appreciated.

  Does this TV that controls the split view support serial control? If it does, you can use one of the brightsigns to control it.
  
  
  
  Are you switching between full screen and split modes automatically, or with some kind of user input? Either can be done.

  We can specify within reason any TV, most of which have serial on them.
  
  
  
  The switch from split screen to full screen would be at a pre-determined point of the content and would need to be automatic and not by a customer.
  
  
  
  Also, would 1080 HD split to half screen reduce the resolution to a point its no longer represntative of full 1080 HD?

  THe output from the HD2000 isn't going to change, but if the content is screen is split, then whatever the output from both devices, the content is going to be scaled down to fit that smaller window.
