From Online to Offline Playback Problem

I am unable to play an image file (jpg or bmp) with or without a .bsp file in either an HD210 or HD2000. Both were connected to the BNM and running content OK. Is there a reset of some sort or something necessary to do to the box to take it off-line to receive content unconnected via SD/compact flash?

Once you use the HD210 with bnm, you need to include the autorun.brs on the flash card when playing back content once you've used Brightsign Network Manager. This is because BNM adds recovery information to the registry that checks if the autorun is missing or corrupted on the card. If it can't find it, it tries to go into recovery mode. So, for the 210, if you add the autorun to the card, then you can playback fine.

I can also send you a script that will remove the recovery info.

For the 2000, you should be fine sine the autorun was always required on the 2000's flash card. Can you send me what's on the flash card of the 2000 when it fails to play, the autorun and playlist?

    Lyndon,

I was trying to play the image on a 2000 w/out any autorun file.

Can you send me the autorun file for the 2000 (or point me to where I can find it), and the script to remove it from the HD 210?

BTW, if I remove the recovery info with the script on the HD210, do I need to do set-up again w/the BNM to re-connect it to the network or can I simply schedule and send as usual?

    Thanks for your help,

You can download the autorun from brightsign.biz, under support, software downloads.

The same is true for an autorun for the HD210. Yes, if you delete the recovery information, you would need to use the setup files again to get that unit to call into your BNM account.

Email me at <!-- e --><a href="mailto:support@brightsign.biz">support@brightsign.biz</a><!-- e --> if you still want the recovery removal script.
