problems with a csv on an 810 unit

Got this csv code from another posting by a roku csr, it does nothing, not even play the default video

I'm sure I've tried everything I can think of. Perhaps another pair of eyes can help me out.
I know the vids work, had them in a simple playlist.

here's my autoplay.csv

GPIOENABLEINPUT,0

EVENTS,,button:0,videoend
STATE,chinasm.mpg,chinasm.mpg
STATE,bilsm.mpg,,chinasm.mpg

I think you were trying for this:

    GPIOENABLEINPUT,0,,

    EVENTS,,button:0,videoend

    STATE,chinasm.mpg,bilsm.mpg,

    STATE,bilsm.mpg,,chinasm.mpg

The chinasm is the looping video, and bilsm is the video that plays on the button press.

The 810 plays the comix demos fine, but there is not any indication of any output to the monitor . As I said, my vids work just fine in a .bsp situation.

All I need ultimately, is a playlist of 2 videos and about 10 image files that will autoplay, start from the beginning when a button is pressed, and then continue to autoplay.

Thanks so much for your attention.

There are sample csv files in the user's guide. Is the video supposed to play first, and then the 10 images? If you describe exactly how its' supposed to play, I'll provide a csv file.

That would be really great, thanks.

The list of files loops indefinitely, and when button 0 is pressed, starts from the beginning of the list and plays through.

After that, the list goes back to looping indefinitely.

here is the description of the files:

    china.mpg

    im1.bmp

    im2.bmp

    im3.bmp

    im4.bmp

    im5.bmp

    im6.bmp

    im7.bmp

    im8.bmp

    im9.bmp

    im10.bmp

    im11.bmp

    im12.bmp

    bil.mpg

    thanks!

So, it appears the problem is really the video format. It appears that I tried the files on the hd2000.

So, trying to get a valid TS format from pinnacle 12.1 ( 720p ), then trying sorenson squeeze, that can make a transport stream HD mmv mpeg...

So following another thread someone said the 3.1+ firmware update would play program streams. So far I've not had any luck.

Can you send me the csv file you're using currently? If you just copy the mpg files to a flash card, with nothing else on the card, do they still fail to play?

As long as the files are mpeg 1 system streams or mpeg 2 or h.264 transport streams, and the extension is .ts, .mpg, or .vob, the should just play.

Send me an email at support@brightsign.biz. I'd like to have you upload one of the problem files to our ftp server.

Also, if you bootup your unit with no flash card in, it should show the firmware version on the screen. I'd like to verify it updated to 3.1 properly.
