Not so Crisp images

Hello everyone. I'm new to BrightSign and need some tips.

I'm am doing a digital menu for a customer. The plan is to keep it pretty simple. I'll have a background image that will consist of menu items, descriptions and prices, and 2 other zones that will play a slide show of pictures of the food. There will be 3 displays side by side (by side) so I have 3 2010's.

I got the 2010's working and and the images are playing and it seems to all be working without any issues. I am VERY happy with how easy all this has been.

My only problem (and I assume this is my fault, not the players fault) is that the menu me and my designer created just is not very crisp. I think it's a resolution issue but I don't know what to do about it. The displays my customer bought are just some regular 720p flat screen tv's. So I created the menu (the background) at 1280x720. I used BrightAuthor and chose 1280x720x60p.

When looking at the menu we made on a regular computer screen at actual size all the text and textures are pretty perfect and very sharp. On the tv's the lines are just a tad blurry. The best way I can describe it is when you change the resolution on a computer monitor away from it's native resolution, you can still see everything, it's just a little......off.

Is this something that is fixable? Do normal 720p tv's not display at 1280x720?

I am using the newest firmware and the newest version of BrightAuthor.

You indicated the image is 720p. That image is being used fullscreen? Or is it playing in a zone? If the image were being scaled down, then it's possible it could look blurry.

If you can do a file, save as, and send me the project file, I'll open and take a look. Also, if you have a small published project, at 720p, that has files that don't play crisply, please forward to support@brightsign.biz.
