BUG 1 BrightSign Author & Firmware Update

I tried to update the firmware of a HD210. The BA accepts the update.rok file. The Software copies also the file to the publishing directory. There is also an entry in the current-sync.xml.

But there are NO lines regarding the update in the autplay.xml!!!

The HD210 downloads the new files and plays the new schedule, but it doesn't make a firmware update!!!

BrightSign Author 1.0.2.13
Running Firmware HD210/3.1.46
update.rok 3.1.73

As I remeber with BA 1.0.1.5 this feature worked correct.

    The autoplay wouldn't get changed for the firmware. IF the firmware is on the card, the unit automatically installs it. It always looks for that firmware file first.



    I think I saw this happen before. If you restart the unit, does the firmware update still fail to install?



    I'm going to try duplicating the problem going from firmware 3.1.73 to 3.1.83. Can you please try the same? Run the firmware update without any other files present to get to 3.1.73, then try again.
