Network Synch



We are having problems getting the network synch to work.

We have the RSS feed and clock working via proxy however have been unable to get the unit to download from the server. It is not appearing on any logs as connecting either.

We have followed the Bright Author Updating Presentations using the Network pdf i.e to publish netowrk setup files and also trobleshooted from the Updates over network dont appear to be working sectiong with no luck.

As we are also using IIS we have included the mimes suggested on another post.

Are we missing sometihng?

    I ran a log on network set up file and got:-



    Server has no sync list for us:  404



    We have change security setting on folders with still no luck. Is there a specific setting required?

    Is it possible to send me the complete log? Is this an internal only server, or could you send me the address at <!-- e --><a href="mailto:support@brightsign.biz">support@brightsign.biz</a><!-- e -->? If so, I can try and connect to it and see what's failing.



    When you published your network project, and copied it to the IIS server, is there a current-sync.xml file present?



    Also, can you put a simple test project on the brightsign that shows a clock, and an rss feed to make sure it's getting onto the internet?
