serial port interactive playlist

Hi! I am trying to figure out how to control the content played on HD1010 via serial port. I searched previous discussions on your forum and thought I could make it work(it looks so easy...), but no success so far.

I use HyperTerminal to make the communication. When the unit starts, I saw "image to preload demo_menu.jpg" in the Hyperterminal window, so I assume the connection between my pc and the unit is fine. But when I typed a in HyperTerminal, it doesn't trigger anything.

Below is a test file I created, can you please take a look and tell me if I miss anything??? Thank you so much

    Do you have hyperterminal set to echo back to you what you are typing?

    And, are you hitting enter after typing?



    These commands require a carriage return when you send from hypterterminal.



    The csv file looks fine.



    You can also try setting this up in BrightAuthor, instead of using csv files. It's easier to avoid mistakes, and the gui makes the setup easier. But, as I said, this csv file doesn't look like it has any errors. Here's a video that shows how to setup an Interactive project with the latest bright author.

    Thanks. I am sending the string value from Flash CS3. After I add a carriage return at the end of the string, it works.
