HD 210 Err

Help!
I'm using BrightSign HD210. Here's my problem. Using Bright Author I notice that in my Zone 3 (that is my Ticker) is a .txt file. When I publish to my SD card I don't see the .txt. file transfer. I see the .jpg's from Zones 1 and 2 transfer. Once I install card to my HD-210 it only shows Zone 1 and 2 with no Ticker. Then it goes into error with blinking Err light and shuts down. I have tried other SD cards but I don't think that it the problem.

I don't see the all files transfering from Bright Author. I have reinstalled software as well. I am stumped. Any idea's???

Also does anyone know of how to use an Excel .xls file as a directory in Zone 1. How can you create a directory?
Thanks!

What firwmare is on your unit, and what brightauthor are you using?

The text file gets incorporated into the playlist, autoplay.xml. So, the text file is never listed on the card separately.

If you put a project on the unit that doesn't use a text zone, does it play without errors?

    Hi Lyndon,

Thank you for your help! I have resolved the Err issue. I had added a .jpg file to my Zone 2 that was 3378 x 2195 pixel rate. Once I removed that .jpg file from my playlist everything worked. All Zone are back. That's resolved.

I did have one other issue that we need help with.

What would be the best way to make a scrolling building directory using an Excel .xls file that needs to be updated often and use it in a Zone that only excepts an Image or Video file? I'm sure this has be done before.

Thank you for you help in any way!

There's no native support for an xcel file. You could use a csv file, but custom script would be required to parse it and place it in a field.

How often are the files generated and changed? If it's not very often, someone could create images from the contents of the files, using powerpoint, and export those images for playback on the brightsign.
