Simple Newbie Question

This may sound like a dumb question but since I didn't see it addressed specifically in the documentation: I was wondering if someone on the boards could tell me if the main content area can consist of a cable TV signal.

We have a large flat screen TV in our waiting area and I'm thinking of added a BrightSign appliance to allow the cable video to display in the main area and display other informational messages about our products/services in the sub-content areas. From the spec sheet I see the appliance supports "component video", but wanted to make sure that would include a digital cable signal.

Does anyone have any experience with this set up or something similar?

  If you have an HD810 or HD1010, you can get the USB video module that accepts svideo and composite video input. The unit won't accept video input without the video module. You can add the live video to its own window, or add it as part of a playlist, where you can set how long the unit stays on the live video input before switching other content.
