I'm trying to setup up a RSS feed from a Google Calendar housing all of our College's events. I know there is a limitation on the RSS to only show the description filed, but in the Google Calendar, without out the title filed there is no way to determine what an event is. Is there 1). and easy way to incorporate the Google Calendar into BrightSign, or 2). the ability to override the default behavior and allow the inclusion of the title field? Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

  Is there any solution or tutorial for this? We are looking to have a calendar that can display our events on a daily basis through a rss or mrss feed. Any updates?

  I have been working on a slightly similar situation for a client.

  The solution was to to grab the (in my case RSS event feed) with a server side script that then creates image files with the text for each of the events, and then creates a Media RSS Feed with those images.  It runs every night to get the events for the next 2 days, and updates the images and Media RSS Feed.

  Then the Media RSS Feed is added to the playlist for the appropriate zone.

  I looked at a Google Calendar Feed a while back, and I think it would work similarly, but as I recall there was an issue with the way re-occurring events were showing up at the time. The clients plans changed, so I never went any further with working with Google Calendar.
