.jpg / .png formatting

What formatting will give me the best possible response time in these file types. I am displaying slides onto a 40" Monitor full screen. I am finding the launch takes absolutely forever. Each file is less than 1mb as it stands but if I reduce the resolution further i fear the image quality will suffer drastically. Hope you can help.

Normally, making sure the image fits the zone or screen resolution it's supposed to fill, and there's no scaling.

If it's still slow, the fastest response you'll get will be from converting your images to 1 second videos. I can send you a file to do that. It'll convert them all. Video take about 10 - 20 ms to open. An image can take up to 1 second, and sometimes longer depending on the size of the image.

fmpeg plus image conversion batch file

THis one converts all jpegs to videos. You can open the batch file with any text editor, and do a search replace, and replace jpg with png to convert your png files.

OK, But now.....Only seems to allow one audio or Audio/video zone.

Must put audio on second zone to have always playing - but where?

Ok, I forgot that you also had audio in the background. Can you explain how this project works? It might make the most sense if I did a simple script to handle playback so you could use the video slides and your audio.
