Simple File Networking Deleting old media files

When using Simple File Networking, the media files from my previous prsentation seems to occupy space on the SD card after uploading a new presentation. Is this correct 1 If so, is there a way of having them removed automagically 1

Anything downloaded to the flash card, will be cleaned up automatically when needed. IF a file is not part of a scheduled presentation, and more space is needed for what's downloading, the file will be removed.

    Thanks for your answer.

But I have run into this problem:

    1) Publish a presentation ( playlist ver. 1 ) with films A, B, C, D. - No problem. Card now contain files A, B, C, D. Playlist ver. 1 plays.

    2) Add films E, F ( playlist ver. 2 ) and publish.  - No problem. Card now contain files A, B, C, D, E, F. Playlist ver. 2 plays.

    3) Add films G, H ( playlist ver. 3 ) and publish.  - Ups, noo room for film H on the card. Card now contain files A, B, C, D, E, F, G. Card contain both playlist ver. 2 and ver. 3. Playlist ver. 2 plays. Probably because film H in playlist ver. 3 is missing.

    4) Remove films A, B, C, D, E, F from presentation to make space for film H ( playlist ver. 4 ) and publish. - Still no room for film H on card. Card now contain files A, B, C, D, E, F, G. Card contain both playlist ver. 2 and ver. 4. Playlist ver. 2 plays. Probably because film H in playlist ver. 4 is missing.

It's nice the player have kept playlist 2 and plays it insted of going black, but I feel kind of trapped in a dead-end ?

Which version of BrightAuthor are you using?

If you're using BrightAuthor 2, and you remove files from a playlist, you should be able to publish new content that would take the place.

A second test to perform, what if you publish a new playlist name, that has G and H, does it still fail?

    BrightAuthor 2.

    5) Made a new presentation under different name "Test_2" ( ver. 5 ) with films G and H. - Still plays playlist ver. 2.

( no room for H. A thru F may not be deleted since they must be kept in case we have to fall back to old playlist  if download fails ).
    Right ?

    6) Made another new presentation under a new different name "Test_3" ( ver. 6 ) with film A only. - No problem, Plays playlist ver. 6.

    ( now films B thru H are obsolete )

    7) Made another new presentation under a new different name "Test_4" ( ver. 7 ) with film G only. Yes, finally film, G is uploaded and plays playlist ver. 7.   During upload of file G one can tell from the video playback getting a bit jerkey that something is going on in the background. <!-- s:wink: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt="" title="Wink" /><!-- s:wink: -->

( in this case only file A needs to be kept. B thru H may be deleted ). Right ?
