Odd Scenario 27 BrightSign Sync

Hello, I am new to BrightSign. I have a project where I plan to implement and Synch 27 BrightSign units (HD1010 most likely) connected to 27 10" displays. I have a video with 27 separate segments (the video is roughly 8-minutes long). Here's the kicker. If you line each display up in a row, each display will start the video from the segment that corresponds with it's position in the row. For example: display 1 would start with segment 1 and go through all 27 segments and then loop. display 2 would start with segment 2 go through all 27 segments and then loop, right down the line. Now we have one additional ODD request: We want to create a cascading effect, so every display after display 1 we'd like to delay the video by 3 frames down the line and preserve this effect each time the synched videos loop. 1) Can this be done? 2) Am I asking too much to get precise 3 frame delays? 3) How much drift would I get? 4) I could probably accomplish this by placing 3 frames of black at the top of each video after the first display (2.7 seconds or 81 frames in front of the 27th displays video), but would the units still synch if the video lengths are all slightly different? Any advice would be wonderful! Thanks in advance!

    You can use the brightsign to synchronize playback as youd describe.

    We can't play at a specific frame, so your black frame suggestion would work. If you're adding frames to the front of one video, can you add frames to the end of others so the lengths are the same on all?

    How long are your videos?

    Worst case for sync is 1.5 frames. There shouldn't be any drift.

    Hello thanks so much! It's one video with 27   18 second segments.  I hadn't given thought to adding black to the ends, but it's probably needed  for synch right? The master would control the loop correct? Thanks so much!

    Forgot the length... let's say 27  18 second clips, so something like 8 ish minutes... <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

    Yes, the master would initiate the sync. There would be no sync given he length of your videos. Unless you need all the ports on the 1010, the 210 can substitute for the sync over ethernet.

    Does that mean I can't synch 27 units? Also, the resolution of the monitors is standard def, so maybe hd1010 is overkill...

    Yes, you can sync all of them. All of the brightsigns support the same video resolutions.

    You are awesome. Thanks. I figure if I add black on the fronts and ends of each video, making them the same, we should be good!
