Display Issues - Incompatible TV?

Has anyone ran into incompatible tv's with the brightsign devices? We are using the hd1010 and they have worked on everything so far. We have a panasonic tv that is giving us problems. when the hd1010 is connected over hdmi we get a purple screen with vertical lines. when we do component we don't get anything. using the same cables and connected any other device we have (like a DVD player) the tv works as expected. if I use the hd1010 and the same cables on another TV it works normally. So the tv and the brightsign seem to both work, just not as expected. Has anyone encountered this and is there a way around it, other than don't use that TV, since we are beyond the 30 day return? Thanks.

I haven't heard of this before.

What resolution are you setting the screen to? Please include the refresh rate you selected if there's more than one referesh rate for the resolution you are using.  For exampl,e 720p and 1080 have multiple refresh rates.

the brightsign has no media card and I am only trying to get it to show Brightsign and the firmware version (the intro screen or whatever).  I have taken it down to basics to try and eliminate my misconfiguration.  Is there anything on the device I could try and look at or try to tweak, like fbset or something?  The problem really doesn't make sense to me except to say the tv and hd1010 are incompatible.  I would be happy to take a picture and email it if it would help you understand what I am seeing.

    Thanks.

I'm including a link to some testing files, that include examples that use vga and hdmi. I'm curious if the problem exists if the brightsign isn't trying to use automode to set the video. You just need to copy the contents of one folder to a flash card. For example, you can copy 1280x720p, to test HDMI/Component at that setting.

none of the hdmi scripts played anything.  I didn't try the vga because we can get the hd1010 to display on the tv over vga, just won't work for any other connections.

    Any other help is appreciated.
