GPI Control / Model Compatibility

Hello, We are using 3 synchronized HD210 units to feed 3 background video monitors on our television set. We would like the ability to use GPI functionality to change the images. For example - create a button box or use an automation system to send GPI commands to change looping images. We understand the HD210 does not have GPI compatibility, and are willing to upgrade to the HD1010. My questions: Would we need to get all 3 units replaced with a GPI compatible unit, or only the master unit? Will one HD1010 control the 2 other HD210s, or do all the models need to match? Thanks, Angelo News 12 NJ

You can use the HD1010, and it can still be a master to the HD210s over ethernet.

The 210s can receive input over ethernet to control playback on the units.
