Help with using GPIO's using BrightAurthur

Hi Everyone, I am trying to find out how I can use a push button on the GPIO's to Start and Stop a presentation on a HD1010. I have been looking through all the documentation and its all very confusing whether I can do it from Bright Aurthor or not. I am unable to find out info on if I need to write a script or just some command to put in on Bright Aurthur. I'm also having issues setting up a Simple Network. I've got to set up 12 units and also dont really understand what I need to use as a URl. if anyone has info on this it would be greatly appreciated. Kind Regards, Rohan.

On our website, www.brightsign.biz, under the tutorial section, you'll find videos on setting up simple networking, and creating interactive projects. we also have several sample projects with content that support input. Additionally, there's a quickstart kit with about 300Mb of content and sample projects, including interactive projects that take gpio input. Both demos page, and the quickstart kit include working examples that you can test, and brightauthor project files that you can edit. If you also search the faq, on our website, you'll find additional information about gpios.

If what you want to do is start and stop a presentation, what I normally recommend is using a logo image or all black image as your stopping position. So, gpio input can take you from any currently playing file to this black image, and gpio input can take you from the black image to the start of your playlist. You can do this with brightauthor, using an interactive playlist.

If you still need some assitance after looking at the working examples or after checking out the video on the tutorials page. I can post a sample project if you explain exactly how you want it to work.
