Simple Networking Publish only required files?

Is there any option to only generate changed files in BA for simple networking publish? Other than visually verifying the file check sums. I find it rather a waste of band width to have to push up a 1/2 gig of videos when I want to change the RSS feed links around? Also I found BA dislikes renames presentation files.... seems to get lost in the view. I exited BA and reopen it and it only was showing the old files I had. I have been in the habit using other editors to make a copy of the file before editing it and version it up by name nameoffile-date-v3 nameoffile-date-v4. BA seem to not like me to rename a file and move it to another folder. I found if I "Save As" within BA with new name then edit new file BA has no problems. Is BA caching the file names?

  Can I just push up the files with current time stamp without pushing up files from previous publish time stamp?

  I tried and it broke.
  
  I have a 210W unit and I wanted to only push up to the simple network website the changed files
  from BA publish.  I only updated one video.
  
  I check the time stamps on all the files in my Simple Network folder on local drive after publish.  I then ftp only
  the files with today's date.
  
  The BS 210W connected and download some files from the webserver.  But the BS 210W then it started blinking red Err light 10 times.  Bsy light would blink   The screen went off line.  then the Pwr light would cycle and the network port lights would go off then on like they were power cycled.
  
  I republished the same site with Local setting and the BS 210W came up and was working so I know it is not my images or videos.
  
  I deleted everything from my local folder for publish and republished the site again for simple network.  I then deleted everything on the simple network website.  I ftp all the files back up to the simple network website.
  
  I restarted the BS 210W with my simple network disk again.    
  
  It still in error state?
  
  So if the BS 210W was not on my desk and 1000 miles away.  I guess  it is as good as dead?
  
  There is not default mode in the BS box to back default?
  
  I check the Simple Network SD card and there are no log file generated.
  
  I backup the SD card to save the bad image.
  
  I reformatted the card and rebuilt the card and the BS 210W restarted and downloaded everything
  and restarted.

  I need to try and duplicate this to find out what caused the script error. the 10 flashing lights indicates an error with the script.
  
  When you publish something, all of the files are written to the pool. In addition to the actual content that's changed, your playlist changes, current-sync file, autoschedule file, there's also a newly published version of the autorun.brs and resources.txt. Even if there were files missing though, the unit shouldn't have errored out. The most that should have happened is that the unit would have failed to switch over to your newly published settings or content, because one of the files it needed hadn't been uploaded.

  I saved the sd card before formatting it if you want to see the files?
  
  Also I was able to push up what looks like  a broken png file which also hung up the 210W.
