break the 4GB file size limit

Hello, i have read several posts on this forum, but i'm still on my question: how to break the 4GB file size limit with Bright Author schedule 1 i have tested many filesystem : exFat, ntfs, hfs without success …

On a previous thread, RokuLyndon has proposed a custom script for read-only filesystems, but it is no longer available ... -> http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3480052/Tools/play-all-any/autorun.brs -> http://forums.roku.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=34229

I appreciate your advice !

Ok, I have a custom autorun to go along with brightauthor 2.2. This is the first draft of it. THe initial version assumes there's only one project, and there's no networking.

I'm including the custom autorun that you can publish with a brightauthor 2.2 project. I'm including a link to brightauthor 2.2. WHen you create a project, you can go to the file menu, under properties, autorun, and add this custom autorun to your project file.

Are you just playing the one project on the flash card? This first version of my custom autorun assumes there's only one project scheduled, and no network connection is hooked up.

Let me know if you have any problems with playback. Please update your firmware to the latest 3.3 firmware.

Regarding this issue, i saw that information:

    "

    BrightSign Firmware

    Version 4.4.34 (for HD120, HD220, HD1020 only)

This is the Beta release for the HD120, HD220, and HD1020. Here are some of the fixes and improvements in this version:

    • Half-hour and quarter-hour time zones are now supported.
    • NTFS formatted cards are now supported.
    • The player no longer crashes after an RTSP 404 error.

    "

Is it possible now to publish(and playing) in NTFS formated cards...

I´m trying it, but with no succesfull.

    Thanks

Yes, you can publish directly to NTFS formatted card (publish via Local Storage). Make sure logging isn't enabled on the unit. We do not support network updates if card is formatted in NTFS. Use this method to reset the unit to factory defaults http://support.brightsign.biz/entries/21796878-How-do-I-restore-reset-a-unit-to-Factory-Default-settings- and re-test.
