Need help getting my scheduling to work

I just purchased my HD210 for a menu board that I am using for my delicatessen. I just need it to basically display two images - one image from 6 am to 11 am Eastern time (for my breakfast menu) and another image from 11am to 6 am the next day (for my lunch menu). I have no knowledge of programming, but I used this device because I thought it would be operable by a non-programmer. Brightauthor is simple enuff that it lets me put my images with indefinite scheduling but I can't get it to work when I put in the specific times. I wonder if my HD210 is not even set to a time and date because I certainly didn't purposely do that on it. If I do need to do that, how? And please be specific with the directions so that a layperson such as myself can follow its steps. (I tried to figure it out from previous posts but I have no idea how to input script language.) Please help. It would be greatly appreciated.

Please confirm if your hd210 has a recessed reset button on the right side. Only the newest hd210s have a realtime clock. So, unless you have one of the newer ones, your hd210 would require a network connection and a time server or access to the internet to set and maintain the time. If you have one with a reset button, then it has a real time clock, and we can manually set the date and time.

Download these files to update the date and time if your unit has a real time clock.

I have a reset button so I would like to manually set the time and date.  I'm sorry but I tried to follow the directions on the readme.txt file in the zip file but the screen is not showing the date and time so I must've have not followed the directions correctly.

Step #2 and #3 is simple enough, where I copied the files to a blank SDHC card, inserted the card into the HD210, and powered up the HD210.  But I am still getting a blank screen.  I tried following step #1 by opening autoplay.bsp with Microsoft Word and merely changed:

    TimeZone CET
    SETDATETIME 2010/03/17 09:08

    to:

    TimeZone EST
    SETDATETIME 2011/05/07 03:15

Is there something else I should be doing?  Please be as specific as possible in your directions.  I have my LCD installed now but I cant show my menu items because I cant get this to work.  Please help!!

    Thank you.

You need to edit the original file with notepad. Word would add formatting, and the file needs to be plain text.

how is the brightsign connected to your display? And, what resolution, if any, is set at the stop of the autoplay.bsp?
