Brightsign detection

I'm having an issue using a brightsign 110 with a sharp aquos flatscreen tv. For some reason it's detecting the player (connected directly via HDMI) with a resolution of 1360 x 768. This is when I plug it in just with the player and also with a card playing a video at 1080. When I plug in other devices (macmini direct with HDMI) it detects it correctly at 1080p. Anyone have similar problems? Is there a way to resolve this? Thanks!

    The brightsign asks the display what resolution it supports over the edid. If that exchange doesn't go well, a lower resolution can be picked. You can fix this by publishing a playlist using brightauthor where you set the resolution to 1080.

    Any suggestions for non brightauthor users?  We are mac only here.

    You can use a script for playback. This zip file has two 1080 scripts, one for 1080i and one for 1080p@29.97. If you need to set the screen to 1080p60, you can edit the script using any text editor, and change the video ooutput setting.
