Pause, resume, rewind in BrightAuthor

Is it possible to tell a video to pause, resume and rewind using serial commands in BrightAuthor? My attempts to use the autorun.brs to control or even play the videos have not been successful. I need to send serial strings from my UI program on the PC to play, pause, resume and rewind one video in my project. I can play them and switch to another video and play it. I can't figure out how to set it up to accept a serial command to make it pause and resume. Is rewind even possible using BrightAuthor? Thanks for your help.

    Rewind is not supported by the unit, but pause and resume is.

    When you accept a command to pause in an interactive playlist, you should set the main action to "remain on current state" so it doesn't try to change to another file. then, under advanced command, add pause video. Then, repeat the same steps but choose resume video for the resume command.

    Is there any possible way to fast forward a video? Or to at least be able to start a video at a certain time location. (i.e. selecting different chapters of a movie?)

    There are Brightscript pluggins that can be added to a Presentation that let you FF, RW, etc that can be attached to an IR, UDP, or touch event.  But I am not aware of anything built in.
