audio and video not in sync

Hello: Using an HD410 v 3.7.50 to play a 5 minute .mov file. The lip sync is soft, with the audio leading the image by perhaps 5 frames. Just enough to be disconcerting. Using a class 10 SD card. Average bit rate is 3.6 mega bits / sec, so it would seem that the HD410 is not being stressed. The video plays in sync on a PC with QuickTime player. I put just the video on the SD card to eliminate any BA issues. Plays fine on PC, out of sync on HD410. Is there a prefered encoding scheme? Thanks, Michael

    The problem might be that the audio and video aren't distributed evenly in the stream, and where your computer has enough memory to deal with it the BrightSign doesn't....Does your encoder have an option to encode for streaming....this normally gives you tighter composition.

    You could also try opening it up in quicktime pro, and resaving it. What encoder are you using?

    Thanks for yours.  Problem seems to be solved by changing extension of video from <.mov> to <.ts>.  No other changes were made, but now the lip synch is fine.

    The source material was a <.vob> file from a DVD.  The <.vob> file played fine on the HD410, but we needed to edit it into three files that we could call up using the GPIO Event.

    The process used is as follows:

    The full video was transcoded from the VOB using VLC, outputting to an MP4 container using MP4 video
    and MP4 audio codecs.

    I then opened the resulting MP4 file in QuickTime, copy/pasted each section to a new QuickTime file
    and saved as self-contained to QuickTime containers without re-encoding anything.
