Playlist mix of zone and full screen images?

Apologies if I'm missing something simple here, but I'd like to create the following kind of playlist:

1) A zone with background image, clock and news (pulled from text files using the ticker)

2) Full screen images

 

This needs to be a looping playlist. So far, the ticker, background and clock work perfectly across all my boxes, but I can't figure out how to add additional content that is not zoned. Is this possible, and if yes, how do I do it?

 

The final presentation would look like this: News (in a ticker), News (in a ticker), News (in a ticker), full screen image, full screen image, rinse and repeat. Make sense?

  You can't go from full screen to multiple zones like that. You could use the next presentation feature in brightauthor 2.5 and later where you switch prsentations but there would be a brief black screen as you went from multiple zones to a fullscreen only project, and then back again.

  Am I correct that I can only do that as an interactive playlist and pick the "switch presentation" in the event handler box? How do I make sure both presentations are loaded on the unit? This seems like a rather complicated solution for something I had hoped would be nice and simple...

  If you point to any other presentation in a project, when you publish the project you're in, it includes any other project you''re linked to. Yes, you would use an interactive playlist as you describe...
