I'm having issues consistently being able to setup a box with the wireless module. At times, the setup files seem to work fine, then if i wipe the card, try the same exact setup files, they quit working. It seems to be related to whether the wifi connection happens fast enough. I'm running the latest production firmware 4.4.4.4, the files being generated are from Bright Author v 3.5, and I've used both the NA and WW wifi modules. I have also run the registry clean script, thinking that it might be some stale values. Is there anything you can recommend?

Alex Why are you trying to re-setup the unit if it was setup properly initially?
Try this method to reset the player, then set it up again from the scratch and retest.
Try updating the firmware to version 4.4.82. If that fails, update to 4.6.43 release. You can download from http://support.brightsign.biz/entries/314637-brightsign-downloads
Can you ping the unit? Can you access a diagnostic web server by entering the IP address of the unit in a web browser? Try running network test from a diagnostic web server. Go to Diagnostics page and press Run button under Network Diagnostics.
Do the other wifi devices work on the same network?

Barnold I am constantly having this issue, in fact I'm sitting at a client site writing this after searching for ideas. with both XD1230 and now XD230 I can setup and test the wireless in the office with 100% success but when I get to the clients site 4 out of 5 times it wont connect. I have connected my laptop and phone but BS player wont even recognize the SSID.
*ran reset script
*ran network test with all fails

Alex Barnold, update the firmware on the unit to the latest beta version 4.6.46, and try to change the encryption type on the router to WPA.

Barnold I tried upgrading the firmware with no luck, I will contact the client about changing to WPA.
