Is possible to power on/off with TCP/IP protocol?
If yes, have you sample commands for this?
many thanks

Please clarify what do you want to turn on/off? Brightsigns are always on if they are plugged in, there is no power switch in the devices. The only way to turn the unit off is unplugging the power cord.
The networked brightsign units support tcp control. It's just not available as an option in the graphical interface (BrightAuthor). It can be done through scripting. If you want to do scripting with TCP/IP, we can send you an example that shows how TCP/IP project works, how to send and receive commands using it...
Please note that you can use the UDP control. You can design a presentation in BrightAuthor where sending a particular UDP command from any networked device to the brightsign will tell the brightsign to turn the display on or off. This can be done easily in BrightAuthor software. The following FAQ item talks about the ways you can control your screen using a brightsign player.

Many thanks
I'm attaching a script we used for a theater project where ware are both sending and receiving tcp commands.
Not trying to hijack this old thread but in a somehow related issue, how can I make the HD220 to restart playlist immediately after reboot, in case that power is lost?
If there's a power loss, the brightsign should start a project from the beginning (home state).
Can you publish the link for this example?
Hello, seconding the request above. Can you please post a download link for the script with 2-way TCP communication? If the script was attached, it doesn't seem to be publicly available.
We are looking to add TCP communication for all of our future projects, and I have yet to find an example that works.
any code links for this yet?
