FW upgrade for my network of HD220

Hi,

I'm currently have network of 120 devices (HD1010) spreader all over the country, all connected to a web server and configure to work with simple network.

I use Brightauther 2.3.0.71 while the units have Firmware 3.7.54.

I want to move up to the latest FW and start working with the new brightauther 3.2.0.12, what should be the upgrade process? Should I use the BA 2.3.0.71 to upgrade my units FW or can I use BA 3.2.0.12 to deploy the new firmware.

Also can I do the FW update on my next media publishing cycle of should it be a separate process?

    Hi,

    It doesn't matter. You can use new BrightAuthor release, include firmware update in a project, then publish a project and transfer the presentation configuration files to a web server. Make sure you include the firmware update before you publish.

    To be safe you can download the firmware file from our support site, under Publish tab - Simple File Network click 'Specify Firmware Update' button, tick 'Select specific file', browse to a newly downloaded firmware, publish a project with firmware update using old BrightAuthor release. Then publish the project without firmware update using new BrightAuthor version 3.2 or 3.4.
