Multi-Screen Sync / Assign IP Address

I have watched the "Multi-screen Synchronized Presentation" tutorial, but am confused how to use in conjunction with manually assigning the players ip addresses.

I am using four HD220s, one as master, three as slaves. All four are plugged into a network switch, without internet connections.

1)Does it matter what IP address I choose when editing the Manual Set IP script?

2)Is this the address I enter in as the UDP Port in Presentation Properties?

2)Do i need to run the script on the slave players as well?

Sorry for the newbie questions, this is my first time using the HD220s. Hope I can clear up my confusion.

Thanks for your help!

    Hello,

You can cancel IP address assignment for your units. Starting with BrightAuthor 2.3 and later versions there is a setting for the ports, and an all subnets setting under File > Presentation properties > Interactive Tab. If you check 'All devices on the local subnet' radio button to broadcast on all subnets, you don't need to manually set any IP addresses for any players. The synchronization will work with the autoip address, the units will assign themselves. As long as the master project is set to obtain settings automatically, there are no other network settings the units need to maintain. Units just need to be plugged into the same network or plugged into the same hub or switch when you want them synchronized.

Please view FAQ and watch webinar about video-walls.

We also have demo sync projects here: http://www.brightsign.biz/index.php/demos/hd/

You need 3x1 Screen Synchronized Video Wall. It's designed specifically for HD220 and HD1020 units.

Thank you - I have done as stated above and follow the multi-player PDF, but am having an issue.

All devices turn on and display the initial state. But when the master players moves onto the first video, the follower players do not move past the initial image.

I have the master setup to Obtain IP address automatically, All four devices have "all devices on the local subnet" checked and have the synchronization commands setup for the followers.

All players are connected via an ethernet switch, with no internet connection.

I've attached my master and one follow project file. Any help would be much appreciated!!

Projects look good. Please download mediainfo program and send us the full specs of your video files that are included in master and slave presentations.

Please clean the registry of all players using this method. Then create setup files for all players from the scratch (choose "Obtain IP address automatically"). Power up all units with SD cards with setup files on them. Then publish the presentations to the units and retest playback.
