Fade transition bug

It seems like all the transitions work except for either fade transition - both "fade to background" and "fade to new image."  We've traced the problem to spelling error in a compile file, but while we're waiting for a fix, I'm wondering if anyone else has had any luck with the fade transition or has found a decent workaround.

"Fade to new image" should work.

There is a bug where "Fade to background color" transition doesn't work in interactive playlist. For the interactive playlist within the published files in the "pool" there's a autoplay-*yourprojectname*.xml file that ought to contain the line:

    <slideTransition>Fade to background color</slideTransition>

    But instead it contains:

    <slideTransition>Fade to backgroun color</slideTransition>
    (missing the 'd')

Temporary workaround - open autoplay file in notepad, add missing letter 'd', save and put the updated file onto SD card (replacing the corrupted file).

Using the Fade to New Image transition and it isn't consistent. We have 3 slides with the same image and different text, so we fade slide 1 into slide 2 and slide 2 into slide 3, which is the last slide in the series.

The first fade works beautifully. A smile came to my face when I saw it. But the second fade, from slide 2 to 3, doesn't work. It just cuts to the next slide with no effect.

I went into BrightAuthor, thinking I had overlooked the transition on slide 2, but it read "fade to new image".

Do I need to also do this for slide 3? I don't want to fade slide 3 into the slide which follows it as 3 is the last slide in the series.

Any help or advice is appreciated.

Please attach your presentation file (the .bpf file). Also, power up the unit without SD card. The brightsign logo, model #, serial # and firmware version should appear on the screen. What brightsign model is it, and what firmware version is installed?
