Send UDP command to BrightSign Unit configured to Simple Network

Hi.

 

I'm developing an app that controls several types of devices, and one type of the devices is BrightSing HD220 Units.

The units are configured to Simple Network, and the program only change the files in web server.

But I want to remotely stop and resume the presentation, and in my search I found this article: http://support.brightsign.biz/entries/413203-How-do-I-control-the-BrightSign-using-Serial-or-UDP-crestron-amx-Smartphone-Tablet-etc-. But the script file is different that created by BrighAuthor when I configured the unit and configured the presentation to deploy in the web server.

 

How can I do that?

  If you created a presentation in Brightauthor, then you wouldn't need a script that is attached to that FAQ item. Please send your presentation (*.bpf file) for review.

  Hi.

  In the zip file you have:

  - the unit inital configuration

  - the presentation (*.bpf file)

  - one sample clip

  - the presentation published

  You need to switch a playlist type to interactive mode, use udp input event to specify a desired command and action that should occur when unit receives the udp command. I'm attaching a sample project and video clip below.

  Go to File > Presentation Properties > Interactive to specify the udp settings for a presentation.
